Urethane Cement and Concrete Stain in Grocery Store

Sprouts Farmers Market was initially specified for quarry tile for it’s new headquarters in Phoenix Arizona but the architect was convinced otherwise. Sprouts needed a more durable solution for a couple areas of the new building. Working with RSP Architects and the Layton Construction, Westcoat applicator and QCA Wholesale Flooring LLC. was called in to install protective coatings in the commercial kitchen and corporate offices.

The architect ultimately selected Temper-Crete for the commercial kitchen. After learning about the urethane cement and its thermal shock properties it was determined that the Temper-Crete system would be superior to any quarry tile. A monolithic surface such as Temper-Crete is easy to clean and maintain.

In the offices something more sophisticated was needed and our Fast Stain Polish system was installed. The existing concrete was lightly ground, exposing a salt and pepper finish, then SC-36 Fast Stain in Brown was applied to stain the concrete. Finally, SC-24 Polish Guard was applied to create an easy to maintain surface.

Westcoat’s Temper-Crete Broadcast System is a flowable urethane cement that features a broadcast of either silica sand or decorative quartz sand & features a polyurea finish that can be installed with limited downtime. The Temper-Crete Broadcast system is designed for areas with heavy foot and moderate wheel traffic.

Temper-Crete Broadcast is used to create an industrial seamless floor in service areas where a high build, self leveling, and fast turnaround floor system is required. The Temper-Crete Broadcast system is used where a decorative, yet durable floor is desired, such as, commercial kitchens, bakeries, breweries and wineries.

The Fast Stain Polish System incorporates Westcoat SC-21 Lithium Silicate, SC-36 Fast Stain and SC-24 Polish Guard into a polishing system, that provides a long lasting concrete surface with varying degrees gloss and color.

The Fast Stain Polish System is designed to revitalize and transform concrete into a reflective semi impervious surface. For use over existing interior concrete substrates such as garage floors, restaurant floors, showrooms, it can be installed in both commercial and residential environments.
