Temper-Crete at St. Supéry Estate Vineyards and Winery

St. Supéry Estate Vineyards and Winery in Napa Valley, produce 100% estate grown, certified Napa Green wines, focusing on Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and additional red Bordeaux varietals. Located in the renowned Rutherford growing region at the heart of Napa Valley, the winery combines French château tradition with Napa Valley terroir – producing the highest quality estate wines and providing exceptional experiences to all guests. To keep up with their customs, and to produce the finest quality wines, they wanted to make sure they had a floor that could hold up to their production line, so they inquired about a urethane cement floor.

Winery Floor Challenge

The Winery production floor needed a durable flooring system to withstand constant heavy traffic including forklifts, wine barrels being dropped, and pallet jacks. St. Supéry reached out to Dave Jefferson at Decking Around for potential floor solutions.

Since Westcoat’s material had been installed in previous areas of the winery and has held up to the day to day operations, they wanted to use Westcoat materials again.

Winery Floor Solution with Urethane Cement

Dave Jefferson reached out to his local Architectural Representative Chris Tapia, who did a job walk and recommended our Temper-Crete Urethane Cement Broadcast system with EC-101 Polyaspartic 100% Solids product as the topcoat. The Temper-Crete Urethane Cement system was recommended due to the fact that it is a monolithic, flowable, urethane cement that can be installed with limited downtime. The Temper-Crete Broadcast System has an excellent impact, chemical, and heat resistant qualities. The system features an integral colored urethane cement base with decorative aggregate broadcast and polyaspartic topcoat. It offers a variety of decorative finish options and is designed for areas with heavy foot and moderate wheel traffic.
