Assessing the Decks for Waterproofing

Clark Construction Group needed an option for concrete balconies for waterproofing during mid-phase of the project. They contacted MTN Environmental for solutions, as MTN was already doing the below-grade waterproofing for the foundation and below ground parking garage.

Jason at MTN contacted his local Architectural Representative Matt Kadin for waterproofing options on small concrete balconies, as these were not waterproofed below the slab like the larger balconies were. After reviewing plans, MACoat was proven to be the best solution for their waterproofing needs.

Onsite Challenges that they Overcame

There were multiple delays due to the onsite challenges of the job. MTN really stepped up to plate as the balconies were very high and the waterproofing had to be completed before the railings were installed. The work had to be implemented utilizing swing stages, which was not an issue for the applicator as they are used to working on them when it comes to caulking and waterproofing large envelopes. MTN was also able to work around the ever-changing schedule to finish the job on time.
