New Football Season, New Stadium Floor

NRG Stadium, home of the NFL team Houston Texans, is one of the largest and bustling stadiums in Texas where fans congregate to cheer on their home team every year. Events like concerts, rodeos, exhibits, and sports games are hosted there throughout the year. Of course, with so many attractions and people, the stadium floors are bound to wear down relatively quickly due to constant foot traffic.

The client contacted Westcoat Rep Chris Doran to discuss the issue. With an upcoming football season beginning, the floors needed a fresh new application of Westcoat’s Dubro Epoxy system to restore them to their former glory. Business Flooring Specialists Houston, one of our QCAs who prefers to use Westcoat products, came to install the system and did a fantastic job. Additionally, EC-15 Moisture Vapor Barrier, EC-36 100% Solids Epoxy, and EC-95 Polyurethane Topcoat were applied for increased protection. The final result was a floor that complemented the various stadium restaurants well and is ready for a new season of NFL games!

EC-15 

EC-15 Moisture Vapor Barrier is a uniquely formulated, two component, 100% solids, zero VOC epoxy that is moisture tolerant and diluent free. Designed to be applied directly over properly prepared concrete substrates and works to reduce the MVER (Moisture Vapor Emission Rate) of up to 15 lbs/24 hours * 1000 square feet.
