Known for its high-end environment and hot rock barbecued steaks, the new Rok Bistro Steakhouse in San Jose, CA needed an eye-catching, unique floor to match the restaurant’s modern vibe. TEAMWRKX Construction partnered with contractor A. Pellizzari & Company to install Westcoat EC-38 Liquid Dazzle to create a vibrant, metallic epoxy floor.
This project was new construction. The fresh concrete was prepped by grinding and cracks were patched with Westcoat EC-72 Epoxy Patch Gel and surface was primed with two coats of EC-12 Epoxy Primer. The entire lobby and seating areas were then coated with Liquid Dazzle in Sunset and sealed with EC-96 Satin Polyurethane Topcoat for maximum protection.
Westcoat products were also used in the commercial kitchen. Over 1,300 square feet of floor was coated with Westcoat’s Dubro system. Dubro is a double broadcast, 100% solids epoxy floor coating system with silica sand broadcasted into the pigmented base to produce a durable, non-skid, easy to clean floor.
Westcoat’s variety of floor coating systems fulfilled both the decorative and functional needs of this popular restaurant.
