For the Love of the Dancefloor

Orange County’s famous Chapman University is well known for its performing arts. Westcoat had the opportunity to take part in this large and exciting project.
Westcoat Representative Bill England was consulted by Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects (LOHA), who had worked on the building’s interior two years ago, to determine the best flooring system for the job. LOHA sought a modern concrete finish and had only two substrates to work with. After learning this information, Bill recommended the waterproof ALX Interior and decorative Texture-Crete Interior, both durable systems that offer the same finish for the building’s offices, classrooms, and dance studios. Westcoat’s local QCA, Empire Waterproofing, Inc., installed the systems and did a great job beautifying the center’s floors to match the overall modern look.
Whether it’s dancing, teaching, studying, or even simply hanging out, the Chapman University’s Dance Center is ready for students and staff members alike!

Westcoat’s Texture-Crete Interior is a decorative topping designed to also be a durable finish. The system is a series of polymer-modified cementitious coatings that are bonded to concrete. It is applied with a mild texture, colored with acid stains or water-based stains, and finished with a durable satin or high gloss sealer to give a truly unique floor.

Add style to any decor! The Texture-Crete® Interior is specifically designed for the interior environment and can be used in residential as well as commercial floors for pedestrian traffic.
